Bérêche Champagne Tasting

Join us at Kindred Fare for a tasting of the Champagnes of Bérêche et Fils with Chris McGowan, the Sales Director of their New York Importer, Fleet Street.

Over the past 10 years, we’ve purchased countless Champagnes to feature on our wine list. While most of these wines are great, we often sell through our inventory and move on to the next find. However, there is one Champagne producer that we’ve had consistently on our list since day one, a name that when offered, we take all we can get! Raphael & Vincent Bérêche produce some of the most compelling, singular, terroir driven wines not just in Champagne, but in the world. Farmed chemical free & biodynamically, these are wines of place, not just to be drunk for the sake of bubbly wine, but for contemplation -- meant for the table. Over 5 generations, the family has acquired vineyards across Champagne, from which they vinify a dozen or so bottlings, each showcasing the specific area which they’re from.

We’ll be tasting a series of verticals from 3 of their bottlings along with a vertical from Pauline Collin-Bérêche, after kicking things off with their non-vintage bottling of Brut Reserve. The tasting will start at 6pm & include some light snacks along with the wines.

You are welcome to stay for dinner after the tasting, though we do ask that you make a separate dinner reservation, if you plan to do so. We look forward to hosting you!
